Ed fella does expressive typographic work consisting of hand drawn letter forms. He produces a handful of typographic posters each year for lecture circuits but his posters are notoriously past deadline. His attitude towards his work is completely experimental. “The poster is still an accurate record of the lecture-who will ever know or care when it was made, right?” Ed says.
Ed Fella also has 80 sketch books he has been working on since he began as a designer in 1976. His sketchbooks are full of anything from abstract shapes and letterforms to cartoon like figures but each is an example of his trademark style of twisting, turning, stretched or collapsing lines.
