Heraldic Logo

Final LogoI drew these parts but I scanned the dinosaur because I suck at drawing. I just used the pen tool to do a basic trace

Photoshop collages

At first I did a composite of my friends room, I didn't have a whole lot of source photos but it was still fun. Then I did a collage of one setting with my subject in about 25 different places. I didn't use all 25 pictures but at least I had a lot to work with.

You can see in the one above there are some lighting issues where one layer was lighter or darker than the layers around it
Problem with the lighting is almost solved using levels on each individual layer.
The problem with the lighting is good as gone. I edited the shadow on the far left by using the lasso tool with a feathered edge to get rid of a few inches of it.

alpha channel, dog

This assignment was a total bitch. haha get it? no really, it was super tedious.

We made an alpha channel, used it to select a dog and move it onto a new background. Included in this post is a halfway done picture and the final, where the dog is a new background.

working on the rubber ducky and potato head

Potato Head: just threw a few pieces together, I played a little bit with color overlays and junk, a few of the resolutions seem a bit screwy. I hope I did it right.

Wallpaper designs

This one is my favorite design, originally it was three colors but I thought the black and white suited the assignment better. It's simply the letter C, scale shifted and rotated ad naseuam.
This one is my first attempt, it's pretty week and by far my least favorite. Just the letter L, different colors and flipped.

Once again, not my favorite. I played with the anchors of the letter getting a slightly distorted P. Honestly I was rushing to finish the assignment and this gem popped out.

This one is on par with the first one, by playing with the pen tool and the anchor converter tool I was able to make a pretty good butterfly looking thing out of an X, which I scale shifted and changed the colors making a nice flowing, chaotic pattern.
